The tray under the freezer section must be emptied daily to avoid having water drip onto the food in the refrigerator. If you forget/miss a day, you get wet food.

Refrigerator is ok

The compressor fan did not work after being installed and we did not know it until the freezer was freezing up and melting getting water in the refrigerator. We had to have a repairman come fix which was a quick fix and has worked fine since then. The freezer in this unit is way too small for any use and should be eliminated from the refrigerator.

Nice refrigerator. Fit perfectly under the counter. Main complaint, the motor cycles on too much and it is too loud even at the normal setting. And that's with no food stored in it. Not sure I would have purchased it knowing that beforehand.

Just received today so this rating is based only on initial values. Received in great condition and it has simple leveling adjustments. The refrigerator began cooling very quickly after setup. The door operates smoothly, closing securely from half-open position. The external size was exactly what we needed and it had a good size cooling area inside. It fit nicely under the counter in the 24 inch wide opening. I like having the option of changing the shelf configuration.

We love the design but the functionality is lacking. The freezer section does not freeze and beverages aren't very cold even on the coldest setting. And, the unit runs all the time. The unit is installed inside in an air conditioned space.

We just installed this compact refrigerator today but I already love it. It's a perfect size for our basement family/entertainment room. It's attractive with the black trim and stainless door. I was surprised how many items I can fit into the refrigerator. The feet were easy to adjust, and all we had to do was unpack and plug in. We were able to carry the refrigerator without trouble. It's a nice weight - not to heavy or not too light. I like that the door open direction can be changed if necessary. We haven't done that yet, but we may. The refrigerator has a small freezer and a small ice tray. I actually think two regular size ice trays would fit. Three coldness settings should cover whatever we need to store. I have other GE appliances and have been satisfied with them.

The GE on the counter mini fridge is an excellent selection. It has a clean appearance, which goes with any cabinet selection. It gets extremely cold and allows easy access.. The reason I gave it a four star is because of ongoing issues with the Freezer that must be thawed out at least every two months otherwise you end up with A huge iceberg, and the freezer becomes useless. At that point to reserve your items, you can put them on the top shelf and they™€™ll be half cold, if not frozen. The items in the refrigerators would have to go on the top shelf and not inside the freezer because of the major ice buildup

First example arrived with a dented door. Retailer replaced complete unit because replacement doors were out of stock. Product meets my expectations for functionality and performance, so far. One issue has been the warning label affixed to the cabinet above the door (which duplicates the warning label on the protective film on the door that is to be removed by the customer): It is almost impossible to remove this label without damaging the finish on the cabinet and leaving a dull film of the adhesive. The secondary label is totally unnecessary!!!

I love the size and function. You can't beat it for the price. Glass fronts are popular today, but unless you are cooling strictly bottles and cans, you don't necessarily want everything visible. I still prefer a stainless steel front. I also like that there is a small freezer for ice.

Fridge does not cool

This fridge will not stay cool. We noticed that a carton of milk had spoiled so we bought a temperature gauge to test it out. With nothing inside, it never gets colder than 50 degrees so we had GE service come out to look at it. The technician told us it's working perfectly. He said when the ambient temperature outside of the fridge is higher, the fridge will not cool as well. Am I ridiculous to assume my fridge will keep food at a safe temperature regardless of what the temperature is outside of the fridge? We have another mini fridge that is over 10 years old from a no name brand that we have never had any issues with. We assumed GE was a dependable brand and that is the reason why all of our appliances are GE. But this has left a bad taste and has us shopping for a replacement elsewhere.

This new mini fridge is the perfect size for an under-counter installation. It has a large internal space with shelves and a soda can stack-holder as well. The door reversal was easy, and it is very quiet when running. Looks nice as well.
